To get involved with Girls on the Run we hope you have a:

  • Genuine interest in leading a healthy life

  • Interest in physical fitness or running

  • Commitment to the mission of GOTR

  • Reliable, honest and positive outlook on life

  • Interest in the issues facing young women today

  • And a desire to get involved in a nonprofit organization and help create public awareness.

CURRENT VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Head and Assistant Coaches:

    • Coaches commit to 1 ½ -3 hours for 10 weeks for one GOTR season (fall or spring)
    • Head coaches must commit to every session for the season
    • CPR certified (GOTRAC will offer training in needed)
    • Background check (GOTRAC will provide this service)
  • 5K race event volunteer

  • “Running Buddies”

  • Grant writer/researcher

  • Marketing/PR  Coordinator

  • Board Member

  • Sole Mates Coordinator
