the charity running program of GOTR!
What is the Girls on the Run of Alachua County SoleMate Program?
SoleMates is the charity running “leg” of Girls on the Run® and uses the power of running to make a difference for girls in Alachua County. Athletes choose to participate in any running, walking, cycling, swimming, or multi-sport event and fundraise through a personal online portal for Girls on the Run® of Alachua County (GOTRAC) programs.
SoleMates fundraising provides program scholarships to local girls who could not otherwise participate in this life-changing program.
How do I become a SoleMate?
- Pick a race you plan to participate in
- Register online at RacePlanner to be a SoleMate
- Choose a fundraising goal for your race, supporting GOTRAC (minimum $175)
- Use your online SoleMates fundraising page to raise funds before your race
What do I get from GOTRAC as a SoleMate?
GOTRAC will send you a packet with more information about the program, plus a Girls on the Run® care package that includes a SoleMate tech shirt and other items.
What is the $26 registration fee?
SoleMates participants agree to pay a non-refundable $26 fee upon their registration. This fee covers administrative costs of the SoleMate program, SoleMate materials, and program expenses.
Why is the minimum fundraising goal $175?
The minimum amount enables Girls on the Run® of Alachua County to provide a scholarship for at least one girl for an entire season. By registering for our charity running program, the participant agrees to raise a minimum of $175 for GOTRAC by 30 days after your race.
What if I don’t raise the minimum $175?
Each SoleMate is responsible for raising the minimum amount by 30 days after your race. If you have not raised those funds, your credit card on file will be charged the difference to equal the $175 in fundraising.
